Description

Coconut site: Jimy Nébni describes a coconut he planted in 1973 while at school in Dimsisi. He speaks Idi fist, then Nen later (both on the same recording). GPS location of coconut tree: 8 37972 S, 142 12919 E. This is a short interview made by Nicholas Evans in Dimsisi. This is a statement about a coconut tree, by the person who planted it. Where possible, versions are given in two languages (Nen and Idi, or Agob and Idi) by the person concerned. The relevant primary notes are in NS2014a:23-27 37.972.
