Description

Coconut site: In Kandr Sobae's garden place, past the airsrip. GPS location: 8 61932 S, 142 05240 E. Interviewer: Grmbo Blba Very nice interview, concludes with brief discussion of the circumstances of Kandr's exchange (i.e., she was a karata trp, given in exchange by her father for his wife since he had no sister). Kandr's mother was a Bug clan woman, who usually lived at Sombrae. There is an old woman Kandr (her maternal grandmother, Ywal's mother) living in Yblämnd. This is a short interview made by the Erbowag subcommittee of the Nen language committee, under Nick Evans' supervision. The Erbowag subcommittee comprises Minung (Qbr) Blba, Doa Teräb, Joshua (Wenembu), Grmbo Blba, and Kandr Sobae. Jimmy Nébni was also present.
