Description

Rotokha tells the story of kashopapu, the Sumi name for the Indian cuckoo which is homonomous with the Sumi for 'Kasho's father'. The story explains why Sumis start sowing when they hear the cry of the Indian cuckoo, a migratory bird whose appearance signals the start of the sowing season.
