Description

Side A: Frogs etc at night, Gobnem. Willie Wagtail 8/2/64 Repi + Syangdali singing at Yaramada. Evening of the 21 October 1963. A soundscape recording of the sounds of the frogs, insects, birsd and other nocturnal creatures. 4m25s commentary by (Ralph Bulmer or Andrew Pawley). At 4m45s 7m48s commentary of the honeyeaters in the area. At 9m40s the recording of singing commences. At 13m57, 12 February a recording at Mount Hagen airstrip. Ralph Bulmer talking in to Pek, getting him to say something, about school, Moresby, etc. Yamo joins in to talk at 15m50s. 16m25s 15 February 1964 soundscape on voting/polling in Garoka (instruction for voting, background noises, commentary)
