Description

Kadagoi Lovinea Rapalau and her namesake Kadagoi Rawad Forepsio discuss the song "Kadagoi, ong hum haiayn" (Kadagoi, your behavior is bad). They tell the story of how this popular village song was written by a man who went to jail for attempting assult Kadagoi Rawad Forepiso. The song is sung by Kadagoi Lovinea Rapalau and features Matukar Panau and Tok Pisin verses. In showcasing both the song and the story, both sides of the story are recorded. In a separate video file taken in Surumarang, Kadagoi Lovinea Rapalau sings the song, accompanied with by her daughter. Funded by the Firebird Foundation for Anthropological Research.
