Description

N.G. 1958 W.D. Tape 113; Nomane (2); Kuman (B) (1) Original recording archived at the Australian National University Archives, collection reference: ANUA 233-118-111, where ANUA 233 is the collection, 118 is the box number, 111 is the item number. The quality of the recording is poor in places. Approximately 13m of the original tape had no sound, so is not included in the digitised file. At the start of the digitised file, Wurm states, "Nomane continued", followed by 15s of audio. Then there is a stretch of silence lasting approx. 1m25s. There is junk audio for 16s, then another period of silence for 2m45s. Then there is 6m40 of better audio of elicitation session. At 11m20s, a new session begins in which Wurm states, Upper Chimbu". Audio quality is poor due to variable recording speeds throughout.
