Description

Singing and chanting by men and women to the spirits of dead ancestors calling out for strength, prosperity of the land and blessings over the gardens or fields of yams for a good season harvest. Chanting continues with young girls and boys during yam harvest time and dancing along with after they have collected the yams from the fields and taking them to the villages and placed in yam huts then celebrating the harvest. (Steven Gagau, May 2018)
