Received from author on 22 February 1928. Based on an examination of grammatical and other linguistic notes prepared by Bishop Patterson (Melanesian Mission) and later published in van der Gablentz's Melanesinseln Sprachen 1873, and Ivens's own fieldwork in the area in 1925.
