Description

21 page typed and written manuscript. -- Jorio language, Vella Lavella. By Zebedee I. Soto. Entries in the booklet Foundation Vocabularies A. Capell (South Pacific Commission, Literature Production Training Centre, Honiara, 1960). Contains Basic vocabulary, additional vocabulary, some cultural terms, kinship terms, sentences, verbs and The Boys and the Coconuts Story. Capell identified this as Bilua. Jorio is on the Central West coast of Vella Lavella Island. Possibly a dialect form, although there is nothing in the literature to indicate this.
