Description

4 page manuscript. -- Mono conjugation and vocabulary. [if Mono, this is the language of the Treasury Islands, Solomons, however, the handwriting is unclear, and the language may be Moro (if it exists)]. Note 2008-11-26 from Piet Lincoln, 'PCL: Indeed this is not Mon-Alu language of Shortland Islands in Western Solomons. A few words one might expect to be cognate are quite different: Eng. || "Moro" || Mono-Alu || bad || saka || paitena || father || ama, bapa || aapa || banana || sagin || toitoi, vundi || bone || tulan || suma-na || fowl || upa || kokole || ear || taŋila || tanna-na || {velar nasal lost in Mono-Alu}'; Date of recording unknown.
