Description

53 page text with annnotations. -- Held in folder marked 'Petats', sundry entries in A Roviana Phrasebook by J. H. L. Waterhouse, Epworth Press, Sydney 1926. The printed entries are in Roviana, an Austronesian language in South-West New Georgia, Solomon Islands. Of the handwritten entries, some are in Petats, but examples of other languages may be present (Teop is suggested). Entries are in different hands throughout the booklet, there are Italian phrases including a set headed 'Partito Nationale Facisot', with no explanation. The date 2-4-21 is written on the first page, which is odd given that the booklet was published in 1926. Words, phrases and sentences.
