| Description | Recordings of Dhivehi speakers performing various director-matcher tasks designed to elicit frames of reference and other spatial descriptions. In addition, the collection includes some narratives and traditional songs (raivaru). Data was collected during fieldwork in the Maldives in 2013-2014 and in 2015, mainly from Laamu Atoll (various islands, but especially Fonadhoo and Dhanbidhoo), with some data also from Hithadhoo (Addu Atoll) and the capital MalΓ©. |
