Description

This elicitation session features the creation of lists of minimal pairs in Nasal with Johan, as well as elicitation of various structures that might illuminate grammatical relations, such as raising and control structures. This session was recorded in the living room of Anton Supriyadi's house in Tanjung Betuah. This session features discussions of applicatives, potential raising/control constructions, and applicatives. Audio was recorded using a 4-channel Tascam DR-701D. Johan wore a Shure SM35 headset microphone and his audio was recorded (in Mono) through the DR701-D. Nuzirwan wore a Shure SM35 headset microphone and was also recorded through the Tascam. In addition to the headset microphones a stereo microphone was placed on the floor among the speakers and recorded to the Tascam DR701D. Audio was recorded in WAV format at 128kHz, 32 bit. Video was recorded using a Canon XA30, which has an external audio input, set up on a tripod. Camera audio was recorded using a R√∏de NTG2 shotgun microphone connected through the camera's external audio input. Video was recorded in AVCHD format at 30fps with 1920 x 1080 resolution. The session was recorded in two part: the first part is 01:09:40 long and involves Brad and Johan discussing various lexical items in the search for minimal pairs. The second part is 00:35:30 long and involves Brad and Jacob separately asking Johan questions about various phenomena in Nasal. The cover of the microphone is visible in the top right of the frame throughout both parts.
