Description

Translation (Htoi San) This story is about a clever water bird and a fox. A long time ago, the eater bird and the fox were close to each other. One day, the fox invited his friend, "Hey, my friend, come and visit my house today." The aquatic bird accepted, "Alright, my friend. I will." A hunter was waiting for the water bird to shoot. The hunter saw and followed him when the water bird went to his friend's house. The hunter saw the bird enter a fox pit, so he planned to get the water bird and the fox. He thought of digging the pit hole, and he dug it, but the fox pit was so bottomless, and he could not dig it. Then he tried to poke with a stick, and it prompted the water bird's buttock. The water bird immediately knew that and thought, "Whatever it is, there is someone who wants to catch us." Then he told the fox, "Someone who hunts both of us is poking into our house. What do you think?" The fox replied, "I don't know what to do about it?" "It's time for us to die." The water bird replied unsatisfyingly, "You are a fox, and how stupid you are. I will give you some advice. You follow what I tell you and guide you to do it." The fox agreed, "Alright, I will do it if that helps us free." The aquatic bird continued his advice, "I will pretend dead when the hunter pokes us with a stick. If he finds that he cannot make it, he will put his hand in and grab us." "At that time, I will pretend to be dead. So the hunter will pull me out." "When he knows I am dead, he thinks the fox killed the bird using animal magnetism. Then he will put me away outside." "I will fly faster away from there. The hunter will amaze me at that time, and you have to come out as fast as possible." The fox replied, "Alright. Surely can. I will do as you advised." The hunter put his hands in at that time to take them out. As the bird said, he pretended to be dead when the hunter was picking. As the bird pretended to be dead, the hunter thought, "This fox killed it with hypnotic attraction." Then he placed it behind him. At that time, the bird flew away very fast. The hunter said, "Oh my! This bird pretended to be dead." so he prepared his gun to shoot it. While he was planning, the fox came out hurriedly. Then the hunter was amazed, "Oh my God! I didn't get any animals today. I didn't get the fox as the bird pretended to be dead." After that, he went back home. When the two friends met again, the water bird said, "You and I are very close friends so that I could rescue your life." The fox thanked his friend, "You saved my life; therefore, I thank you very much. So we will never be apart and be friends forever." From that day onwards, they both took a promise and became very close and good friends. Transcription (Lu Awng) Grai zen ai hka u hte ga gwi a lam hpe tsun na re.
