Description

Translation (Htoi San) Once upon a time, there was a shiftless man. When he reached a village, he got a girl even though he had a wife. He left that village and went to another hamlet, and he got a new girl. He did that whenever he arrived in each new small town. After he got to five, six, and seven villages, the girls he fell in love with searched for him. Then they all coerced him as "He first loves me." "He also loves me." The argument reached village advisors. The village advisors placed the seven girls and asked them to protrude their hands, then covered them with blankets. The counselors let the unfaithful man choose, "Alright, you select from here. You pick one finger among your wives' stretching out fingers. Then you hold it firmly with whom you like most." "So she will be your wife." Asking him to choose from his wives, who were covered by the blankets and only stretching out their fingers. That man selected one finger, which he liked most out of presenting seven fingers. After holding the finger, he opened the blanket and found his number one wife. So he had to live with that wife as the judges permitted him to live with his first wife. Transcription (Lu Awng) Moi da sadi n dung ai la sawbraw langai mi nga ai da.
