Description

Translation (Seng Pan) I am going to tell you about a clever child. Once upon a time, there were two kids in a village. They always played in the village together. But one day, they went to the forest to play. After they had played till they felt boring, they returned home. But the kids lost their way home. While they were sitting under a tree, they heard someone asking for help, and they followed to where the sound came from. Soon, they found an old man in a pit. The kids asked the old man, "Why are you staying inside the pit?" The old man replied, "While I was walking, I fell into this." "Ok. We will help you," the kids said. They put the rope down and saved the old man from the pit. The old man was the king. And he brought the kids to his country. The king asked one of the kids, "What do you want?" The kid replied, "I want money." The kid asked for a lot of money. The king could give the money the kid asked for only because he was the king. The king gave all the money he had to the kid. After it, the kid went back to his village. He was guided the way to his village and returned home. Before the kid had arrived at his village, all his money was robbed. He was fatally beaten. He went back home and lived in the village poorly as before. On the other hand, the king asked another kid what he wanted. The kid said he wanted an education. The king also agreed and gave food and money to study. By studying, the kid had become an adult. Since the king didn't have any children, he was crowned as the new king after the late king. Therefore, education is more important than money. Transcription (Lu Awng) Ya ngai tsun na hpaji rawng ai ma na lam re nga ai.
