Description

Translation (Seng Pan) The story is about lying to a king. Once upon a time, there was a king's assistant. He lived together with the king. One day, the king and his assistant took a bath together. At that time, the king teased him. The king took off his cloth and asked, "Look at my body! How much will you get if you sell me in the market now?" The assistant answered, "Your majesty, you would be worth 10cent." "Look! This towel that I am using now is 10 cents. How could my whole body be worth only 10 cents? You insult me!" the king said. The king stopped him working as his assistant. And he commanded him to leave. The king's assistant was so angry at the king. And he left the palace. One day, he got a horse. While the king was passing by, he stabbed two pieces of gold into the horse's anus. When the horse defecated, two pieces of gold came out. The man lied to the king. He said, "Your majesty, please come here and take a look! My horse defecates gold. If you like, I will sell it to you." "Oh! Really! If it's true, I will pay as much as you ask. Just give me your horse! If the horse could defecate gold, I want it," the king replied. Although it's not true, the man sold his horse as he hated the king. The king thought what his ex-assistant said was true. He beautified the horse and invited the kings from other countries. The king informed them that he had possessed a horse that defecated gold and invited them to come and take a look at it. Therefore, kings from many countries came to his palace. They came there to see the horse that could defecate gold. The king also decorated the place where the horse supposed to expel the waste with a rug. And all of them were waiting the time the horse would defecate. Although they were waiting a long time, the horse didn't expel gold. The horse excreted only shit. Therefore, the king was publicly disgraced. Transcription (Lu Awng) Hkawhkam wa hpe masu sha ai da.
