Description

Translation (Seng Pan) The story I am going to tell you now is about two men who went on a journey. Once upon a time, two men travelled together. On the way, they met with a bear. And they ran away from it. One of them climbed up the tree, and another friend followed after him. But the one who climbed up the tree first kicked his friend down. Maybe he was so frightened of the bear. Since the bear got closer, the man who was kicked down didn't have any idea how to escape suddenly. So, he laid down on the ground pretending he was dead. Then the bear came closer to the man who was lying and sniffed at him. And the bear also rolled him over. Since the bear never ate the dead bodies, the bear left him alone and passed. After the bear had left, the man who was on the tree got down and asked, "My friend. Just now, the bear sniffed you several times. What did it whisper in your ear?" His friend, who pretended he was dead, replied, "The bear told me not to make friends with the one like you who is not kind." We should make friends with the one who stays with us no matter what happens. Transcription (Lu Awng) Ya ngai hkai na maumwi a gabaw gaw bu hkawm ai la 2 na lam re.
