Description

Translation (Rita Seng Mai) Once upon a time, there were a dog family and a goat family in a village. And there was a cruel tiger. Every day, he caught a goat for his meal. Day after day, the number of goats were decreasing. The mother goat was unhappy about it. She told the dog family about it. She warned the dog family, "You have to take care too. The tiger is fierce. He eats each goat every day. So, you all have to be careful too." The mother dog said, "Come if he dares! I will bite him." The goat was shocked and said, "Don't say like that! He is very strong and can pounce on you." Then, the dog said, "I can bite too. I can protect my children not to get eaten." The goat said, "Okay then." At that time, they heard the sound of the tiger. So, the mother dog quickly looked for a safe place for her children to stay in. She hid them safely. At that moment, the tiger was finding his prey to eat. He got the smell of dogs. So, he was searching for them thoroughly. Then, he found the puppies and ate one of them. The mother dog was afraid and couldn't protect her baby. She regretted her action and reflected on herself, "Why didn't I attack the tiger? I was just being showy and pretentious in front of the goat. But now, I lost my child." The next day, the mother goat and the mother dog discussed how to protect their families from the danger of the tiger. They said, "We must protect our children from getting eaten by the tiger. When he comes, let's attack him together." One day, the tiger came to them again to eat their children. As soon as the tiger came, they attacked him. In the end, they could drive him away and make him never come back. So, we can be successful when we are united.
