Description

Translation (Tu Hkawng) The story that I am going to tell is about an indolent man who lived in a village and slept all the time while opening his mouth to the sky while waiting for luck. Long long ago, an indolent man who didn't want to work lived in a village. But he prayed a lot. By believing that God will provide him with what he needs, he just prayed a lot. He also prayed every day he opened his mouth to the sky to receive the blessing as he believed that God would put it into his mouth. Although he had been sleeping with an open mouth for many days, he did not receive anything. By that time, his neighbour was working every day. As his neighbour worked every day, the neighbour brought back different things and became very rich. One day, while the slothful man was sleeping, God gave him a dream. God said, " Hey, a slothful man, you said you want my blessing, and then you are doing nothing. How can I bless you? Look at your neighbour as he has been working every day; thus, he got the things that he needs for his daily life." God also said, "If you do not do anything and not prepare a basket to catch it, we could not give you anything as there is no space. As you work, and we will bless you on your action; hence, you will be able to afford it for yourself. If you think that, when you pray, you get them, but if you have not done anything or are not prepared to receive, we cannot give you, or we cannot bless you." While the man was sleeping, God gave him a vision through his dream, "You should pray every day, and you should also need to work." From that day, he realized that "Even though we pray, we must also work," if I do not do anything, I will not get anything. My neighbour was working every day; thus, he was able to afford his daily life. However, I had not learned his epitome, which is why I did not get anything. Since then, he was repentant, and he started working. After that, he became an affordable person for his life.
