Description

Translation (Htoi San) I am telling a story about the three brothers who had only one sister. Their siblings had only their mother and father passed away. The eldest brother was very good at shooting crossbows and a skilled marksman hunter. The second brother (Ma Naw) had an excellent vision to see things from everywhere, far and near. The third brother could catch things even if they were flying in the air. One day, three siblings went hunting. The eldest brother shot, the second brother looked for it, and the youngest one caught it. They were those kinds of brothers. That one day, when they went out hunting, they left their sister, asking their mother to watch her at home. While mother was going outside just for a while, a traditional wild spirit-man took their only sister. The spirit-man placed her in the firmament to live there. The brothers went back home. They came home after hunting, and they saw their mother alone. As they did not see their sister, they asked mother, "Mother, where is our sister?" Mother replied sadly, "I don't know where she is, and I am also distressed." "I went out just only for a while, and she was gone. So I am terrified of you and also unfortunate." When they heard about that, they started searching. While they were searching, the second brother saw his sister and said, "I found my sister. She is hidden by a spirit-man up above in the sky." "Over there," showed his other brothers. As the second brother pointed to the place, the eldest brother shot the stranger spirit-man. After hitting, they collapsed to the ground. The third brother could catch his sister from falling in the air. The traditional wild spirit-man fell down to the ground and died.
