Description

Translation (Rita Seng Mai) There was once a frog and a fish in a lake. During the rainy season, it was time to lay eggs. Both of them laid eggs at the same place. They didn't know it and left the place after they had laid eggs. The frog always fed the newborns since she thought they all were her babies. Then, the mother fish came up and said, "They are my babies, not yours." The frog also said, "No! They are mine." They were fighting over the babies. At last, the frog said to the fish, "For now, you go back to your place. I'll go back too. Let's come here again after a few days." They agreed on it and went back. Some days later when they came back again, they saw that the baby fish had tails and the tadpoles had legs. Then, they took their own babies and didn't need to fight again. This is the end of the story. Transcription (Lu Awng) Moi shawng de da shu hte nga la-ing langai kaw sha nga ai da.
