Description

Translation (Rita Seng Mai) The story I'm going to tell is about a juggler who was very good at juggling and a fortune teller. They were friends. They had different skills. But they were too proud of themselves. They didn't want to agree with each other. They constantly quarrelled and became disunited. One day, they went on a trip somewhere. But they went separately. The juggler arrived at a village. He showed his skill there. He performed knives juggling in front of the villagers. While he was juggling, three or four people came to him and picked a fight. He didn't want to lose a fight. He thought, "I am very good at juggling. It would be ashamed if I lose to the people who don't even know how to juggle." So, he tried so hard to win them. After he won the fight with them, they called the other ten men to help them fight him. Then, he couldn't fight them anymore and lost. He was embarrassed. On the other hand, the fortune teller reached another village too. He was too proud of himself and couldn't get along with the villagers. The villagers felt angry at him because he was too proud. So, they beat him up. He thought, "If I'm with my friend, I will not get treated like that." The juggler also thought the same as him. They both went back to their village. And they told everything that had happened to them. They decided to stay unitedly together. Then one day, they got in a big fight again. Their fight was severe. They couldn't decide who was right or wrong. Then, they went to a wise man to ask for advice on how to solve their problem. They told him about them. The wise man said, "Don't be too proud of yourself. If you listen to each other and agree with each other, things will be better for you two." After hearing the wise man's advice, they decided to behave as he said. Then, the work they did together was a great success too. Finally, the villagers let them be their leaders in making to develop the village.
