Description

Translation (Rita Seng Mai) Once upon a time, there was a king in a country. He had got a beautiful princess. When the princess grew up, the king wanted her to marry a prince. So, the king invited the princes from other countries and let his daughter choose one prince. But the princess didn't like anyone of them. She told her father, "My beloved father, I would like to choose a person, who will be my consort, myself." One day, the king told her, "Now, go find a consort on your own." The next day, the princess dressed like a poor lady and walked out of the palace. She went to the rich's houses, but no one welcomed her. Nobody welcomed her and told her to come into the house. Then, she kept walking and saw a boy who was sitting under a tree. He told her, "You might be tired. Take a rest here. Drink some water. Eat this if you are hungry." He welcomed her and offered her to eat his food. At that moment, the princess decided that she would marry him. And she took him to the palace. The king told her, "My daughter, this kind of poor man shouldn't be my son-in-law. You can't marry him." Then, the princess said, "My father, he is the one. When I walked into the rich's houses, no one welcomed me because of my appearance. But he welcomed me warmly. He even treated me to the food that he had. I am very sure that he is the one to whom Jesus wants me to get married. He is my soulmate. I will marry him." Finally, the princess and the orphan boy got married and lived happily together.
