Description

Translation (Gun Mai) Once, there was an Azi man who wanted to go fishing a lot. Because he used to see that a Shan man was going net fishing, he also wanted to go net fishing but he did not have a net. So, he went to the Shan man to borrow a fishing net. To borrow the fishing net, there was also no interpreter. May be he also thought that he could speak the Shan language. When he got to the Shan man's house, the Shan man asked about what for the Jinghpaw man came. The Jinghpaw man said, "Tin tarin pung pang, sap sanap grang, hkau ba dana hka danam de la sa." The Shan man asked again, "Say it again." The Jinghpaw man said again "Tin tarin pung pang, sap sanap grang, hkau ba dana hka danam de la sa." The Shan man did not understand but the Jinghpaw man kept saying that. So, when just the Shan man got angry, the Jinghpaw man ran away. It meant that it was to borrow the fishing net but he could not speak the Shan language. So, he just said the 'Tin trin pung pang'. The end.
