Description

Translation (Gun Mai) A long time ago, a Jinghpaw man from a highland met with a Burmese man and talked to each other. When asked where to go, the Jinghpaw man said to go to a beehive to take and eat honey. But, since he could not speak the Burmese language, he said that "apaw ma wat wat noi de (it is hanging above), mu ka mu de (the taste is good), kanu ka daru de (the mother is angry)." The Burmese man did not understand. So, the Jinghpaw man said again, "apaw ma wat wat noi de, mu ka mu de, kanu ka daru de". But, the Burmese man did not understand so he did not follow the Jinghpaw man. What the Jinghpaw man meant was that "There is a flat beehive that was hung at the top of the tree. Let's go and eat it. It is very sweet. The mother sting." It is the end. Transcription (Lu Awng) Moi da bumga de na jinghpaw la wa hte e myen la wa hkrum na she shi gaw shaga hkat ai da.
