Description

Translation (Htoi San) I am telling a story about success because of unity. Once upon a time, a crow, a fly, a tiny sparrow, and a little bird were very close friends. As we know, tiny sparrow eggs are very small, and these little sparrows build their nets on the ground and stay there. One day, a giant troop of elephants was passing by their village. The leader of the elephants was so mature. The little sparrow went to the elephants and hit the ground with her wings. She said, "My eggs are here. Don't step on the ground here." When the elephant leader heard about it, he covered the place with his legs. After all the elephants passed by, the elephant leader said to the little sparrow, "There is a wicked elephant behind me. You also beg him not to step on your eggs." The tiny sparrow waited as the elephant leader told him. At that time, only one elephant passed by her. The little sparrow begged the elephant, "Please don't step on my eggs." That elephant asked, "Where are your eggs?" After that, he stepped and flowed all the eggs with his urine. Therefore, the little sparrow cried a lot as all her eggs were destroyed. At that time, a fly came to her. The fly asked her, "Why are you crying?" The sparrow told what had happened to her. A crow also came to them and said, "Don't worry. I will go where they sleep as they are tired. Then I will peck and burst his eyes." The fly also said, "When the elephant hurts his eyes, I will lay eggs in his eyes." The sparrow's neighbor frog also reached there and said, "Alright, I will also croak everywhere where there is no water. So when the wicked elephant looks for water, he will fall down and die unexpectedly." They all decided to do that, and the crow approached where the wicked elephant was sleeping. When the elephant opened his eyes, the crow pecked and burst his one eye. The elephant slept again, and when he opened his eyes, the crow pecked and burst his other eye. After three or four days, the fly laid eggs in his eyes. After that, the elephant was thirsty and looked for water. The frog stayed at the scarp where there was no water, and then he croaked here and there. The black-hearted elephant thought there was water where the frog croaked. When he looked for and went there, he dropped off and died. Therefore, crows, sparrows, flies, and frogs that had no energy danced Manau Dance on the dead body of the sinful elephant happily. Thus, they could overcome the difficulty because of their unity. Transcription (Lu Awng) Ya ngai hkai na maumwi gaw myit hkrum ai a majaw awng dang ai lam hpe e hkai dan na re.
