Description

Translation (Rita Seng Mai) Once upon a time, there was a head nurse in a hospital. At night, she became hairy and her nails became longer. When the young patients needed to be hospitalized, she picked their hears by her long nail and drank the blood. Then, the doctors were suspicious and tried to find the culprit. The doctors were checking every hospital staffs. When it was her turn, she was frightened. Then, her nails were longer and longer right in front of the doctors. So, they knew that she was the culprit. They killed her and buried her somewhere. After one week, they went to check her grave. It was because they saw that a hairy woman with long nails appeared from the direction where the grave was, and walking around the hospital. So, they exhumed her grave. And they poured some petrol and burnt her body. This is the end of the story. Transcription (Lu Awng) Moi shawng de, tsi sarama langai mi tsirung kaw tsirung up galaw ai zawn zawn rai na tsi tsi sha nga ai kaw machyi masha nau sha nmachyi ai sa sa rai na sa tsi tsi rai yang shana rai jang tsi sarama dai gaw da lamin galu tu wa nna, mun ni tu wa nna, masin kaw shi lamin hte a nyaw waw nna sai chyup lu kau ya ya rai na sarawun ni (round le) ai shaloi she gayin tam hkawm ai shi na (a le) du wa jang shi gaw hkrit nna , lamin ni galu wa rai jang shi sha kau kau re hpe chye chye rai jang she umm shi hpe sat kau na bai sa lup kau ai shaloi e bat mi ram na wa ai shaloi shi na lup kaw bai alai yu yang mun ni tu nna, myiman ni ahkyeng hkyeng rai nna bai hkrung wa na shana shana maga shi hpe lup kau ai maga de na sa wa wa re ai mu ai majaw (datsi) ni hpa ni bang nna bai alai lup kau ai da Ngut sai.
