Description

Translation (Seng Pan) The story is about rat conference. Once upon a time, there was a rat country. There lived several kinds of rat. Many rats settled in that country. On those days, there was a cat too. The cat chased and ate the rats a lot. Therefore, the rats planned to fight back him as he killed and ate them. An elder rat gathered the rats and held a conference. He said, "See! we, rats are countless. We can fight back the cat who has killed many of us." "Yes. Totally agree!" They all approved. "Each one of us need to bite his ear, tail, and body. "All! We have to bite all parts of his body. He is alone. But we are many," an elder said. "We will win," the rest replied. Then another elder rat said, "We have so many rats to bite each part of the cat. But we still haven't thought for his mouth. A rat needs to go into it. Only then the cat will not be able to bite other rats. Who wants to do this? Who will go into his mouth? Who?" Sadly, there was no rat who wanted to sacrifice himself and go into the cat's mouth. The one who went in it would surely die. Even though the rats held a conference to plan how to fight back the cat, there was no one who wanted to offer life for the rest. As they couldn't beat off the cat, they are eaten by it till today. This is the end. Thank you very much. Transcription (Lu Awng) Ya hkai na gaw yu amyu ni ya zuphpawg galaw ai maumwi re.
