While they were dividing up, the method was not so fair for anyone. At last, a blue throated barbet in a forest came out and told the other birds, "I'll divide up the food for you." Then they let it do. The blue throated barbet told them, "Small birds will get small amount and big birds will get large amount." At that time, small birds were angry and told it, "What kind of bird are you? What we want is to divide up equally, but you said 'give small amount of food to small birds and give large amount to big birds'. Then we, small birds, will get only a small amount." They were angry and broke its head. Then it had got a cut on its head. Today, it has got its own symbol that its head is red while the rest is green. This has become the symbol of the blue throated barbet after getting a cut on its head. People usually say that its head is red because of that. It's just a story from the past. It's about birds which divided up the food.
