Description

Translation (Htoi Awng) Praise the Lord for giving a chance to meet with Tr. Lashi Brang Seng and to tell the stories. The story I am going to tell is about a bad king. That king was very selfish. And he only cared about self-happiness. He did not help his people. He was a bad king. One day, three savants arrived at that country which he was ruling. The three savants said to the king, "A glorious king was born in this country. We saw that the star has arisen in the sky." The king was so shocked when he heard that. The king muttered himself, "Hmm! Now, I am happily ruling the country. But, there will be another king! This is not good!" But there was no newborn baby in the royal compound. So, the three savants set forth their journey by looking at the star. After they had gone, the king thought to himself again, "Since the three savants already left the palace, I couldn't ask them how to do. So, I must kill all the newborn babies." Then, he was looking for all the babies in his country. He searched them with his soldiers. But the king didn't know who would be the glorious baby and who could be the king. He couldn't differentiate. So, he decreed, "Kill all the children from newborn to two years old." He ordered his soldiers to kill the babies. The soldiers killed all the baby boys from the newborn to two years old in the country. The parents dolefully cried, and all citizens expressed a deep sorrow for that. GOD let the glorious baby king escape from that sorrowful situation. The bad king did not get a chance to kill the baby king. But all the babies were killed by the mad king. In the end, the bad king had leprosy and couldn't show his face to the citizens. It was because he killed the babies and made their parents feel sorrowful. At last, he died by that disease. The mad king was dead. Since he did bad things to his people, he lost his life and couldn't show his face confidently. The moral of this story is that we shouldn't do the bad things and shouldn't be deceitful. Thanks so much.
