Description

Translation (Seng Pan) Once upon a time, a starving wolf was roaming around a deep forest to seek for food. And it had been three or four days already. But he hadn't got any food yet. As he was roaming around, he found a big tree. When he was taking rest under the tree, he saw a crow flied to the big tree and sat on it. When he looked up, he saw the crow clamped a piece of meat. He was so happy. So, he had got an idea to take the meat from the crow. And he praised the crow, "Hey! Crow, you are so beautiful." Then the crow said, "Everyone say that. I know that I'm pretty." And he neglected the wolf because he knew that the wolves were very good at lying. So, he just kept silence. The wolf also had to think of another trick. "Crow, your voice is the most pleasant voice in the world," the wolf praised him again. "Your voice is the best. All the animals who hear your voice are saying that your voice is amazing," the wolf said. Even though the crow knew his voice was terrible, he forgot that the wolf deceived him since he had never heard the praise for his voice. As he was so pleased with the wolf's praise, he suddenly opened his mouth widely to make a sound. Then, the piece of meat fell off. And the wolf ate it. After that he made fun of the crow and left.
