Description

Translation (Seng Pan) One day, two men travelled to a place. They had to walk through a deep forest. They also brought a pack of rice. But they didn't carry curry. At the time they got hungry, they took rest under a tamarind tree which was near a stream. A man said, "Buddy, I will go and fetch water. You cook the rice first. Here we also have tamarind. Pound it. Let's have as curry!" So, his friend cooked the rice and pounded tamarind. At the time the man came back from fetching water, he was starving. So, his friend served rice and tamarind paste, but he didn't eat with him. "Buddy, your tamarind paste tastes so good. Come and eat with me! Why don't you eat?" asked his friend. "I am not able to eat anymore. As I pounded tamarind, its taste set my teeth on edge. Actually, he didn't pound tamarind. He just chewed it.
