Description

The speaker narrates his experience about a conflict between the Bodos and the Adivasis in the Bishmuri areas under Kokrajhar disctrict. He gives an account of the reasons behind the conflict and the loss of properties, burning of villages and killing of people in both the groups. In the same story another speaker gives an account of the conflict as a eye-witness. He narrates how the Adivasi people of the area gathered at Bishmuri, how they played their drums, how they armed themselves with bows and arrows. He also narrates how helpless the Adivasi women and mothers were during that time. They had to spend the night toghether in his pharmacy under acute mental pressure. Duration 00.15.00. Speaker names Tarun Ch Basumatari and Rupendra Lahari. Location Bishmuri, Kokrajhar.
