Description

This is a conversation between a husand (Sirajudin, M, 55), his wife (Mariati, F, 42) and his sister (Muliati, F, 59) while they set out they dry their rice in an open area in the village. I saw that Sira, his wife and his sister were drying their rice paddy in an open area of the village, so I approached them to make a recording. However, the recording is riddled with issues. The biggest issues were that one recorder that was set up in the covered platform malfuncted and didn't recorded and that early on the recording exterminators came through the village using loud machines. All three speakers wore Shure SM10A headset microphones. Each of these headset microphones is connected to a Tascam 60D audio recorder. There is no recording of the conversation on a separate audio recorder, as is the case for other conversations recorded in this collection. The conversation was alos recorded with a Canon Vixia HFM500 camcorder with a Rode VideoMic Pro Camera-Mount shotgun microphone.
