The nearest port was Port Lincoln and they travelled there via Adelaide. There was a brief stopover at Dungog and longer sojourns at Sydney, Manly, Brisbane and Cooktown. Much later they recalled also returning to Sydney and a cold two weeks in Glen Innes.
